Oláh Szabolcs Quartet consists of young men of high sensitivity who are able to create a montage from the impressions gained from the outside world which helps the listener to undergone the wonderful experience of the unit and equilibrium. The members of the Quartet are perfectly aware of the musical concepts of each other as they are very close friends. Thus, their music which is on the grounds of their own compositions and which gives space to the improvisation could mature to a unique chamber music rooted on the jazz traditions.

In November 2004, the band won the 1st prize of Budapest Lipot Days - Jazz Competion. The members of the jury were Gábor Juhász, Kálmán Oláh, György Kerekes.
